Born and raised in Los Angeles, Zania Zamarripa is a baby of the 80s and a kid of the 90s who has lived a lot of life — and isn't afraid to talk about any of it.

Life wasn't always easy. From a very early start, Zania learned what resilience actually looks like — not the Instagram version, but the real kind. The dark nights of the soul. The moments where you don't know how you're going to get through, and then somehow you do.

Music was always a sanctuary. A career in the entertainment industry gave her a front-row seat to the full spectrum of human experience — the highs, the lows, and everything in between that nobody talks about publicly.

What has always moved her most is storytelling. Learning people's stories. Sitting with someone and hearing how they got here — the detours, the losses, the unexpected turns that ended up being the whole point. That admiration for the complexity of a human life is what Retrospective Paths was built on.

Messy. Beautiful. Uncomfortable. Real. This is what it means to grow through it all.

Healing isn't linear. It's not a glow-up. It's a reckoning — and it's worth every uncomfortable second.

About the show

Hosted by Zania, this space holds honest conversations about the human experience; healing, spirituality, creativity, mental health, addiction, relationships, and everything in between.

Here, we explore the messy, beautiful complexity of life. We get uncomfortable, we reflect, we laugh, we break things open, and we look at what it means to grow through it all.

It's not about having it figured out. As Kurt Cobain said, come as you are.

Retrospective Paths is where stories are shared, truth is spoken, and transformation is always on the table. Let's get real, messy, and alchemize.

What this show is about.

Real

No scripts, no talking points. Just honest conversations with people who have actually been through something.

Raw

We don't edit out the pauses, the tears, or the moments where someone says the thing they've never said out loud before.

Becoming

This isn't about having it figured out. It's about the ongoing, messy, beautiful process of turning into who you actually are.
